• Measures period between consecutive rising or falling edges of input signal
• Measures high or low pulse widths of input signal
• Synchronizes asynchronous input signal to measurement clock and outputs a one-shot of the rising and falling edges
• Signals when period has exceeded specified stop value
• Period and pulse width read as parameterized value while stop signal asserted
• Output flag for completion of period measurement
• Parameterized timer bus width
