uDCAT Overview
Drivven offers a portable, low cost alternative for combustion analysis with uDCAT. uDCAT is a bundled product which includes an executable version of the DCAT Advanced example application and a NI USB-625X USB DAQ device. The software is provided as two parts; the uDCAT installer and the CalVIEW installer. uDCAT and CalVIEW are compatible with any Windows XP/Vista PC or laptop. uDCAT software is locked to the specific USB DAQ device that you receive from Drivven. However, the DAQ device may be used with other LabVIEW-based applications.
The uDCAT 8 and uDCAT 16 are provided with the NI USB-6251 and NI USB-6259 M-Series DAQ devices, respectively for 8 or 16 channels of engine-synchronous analog input. Both devices are based on National Instruments M-Series DAQ hardware and provide 1.25 MS/s aggregate sampling. An industry-standard optical shaft encoder may be used with the system for engine-synchronous sampling.
Note1: CompactDAQ hardware may also be used with uDCAT. Ask Drivven for details, or see the uDCAT user manual.
